Nacha Proposes Addition of U.S. Treasury to the ACH Contact Registry

Nacha is requesting feedback on a proposal to add the U.S. Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service to the ACH Contact Registry, giving it the option to register contact information for ACH-related inquiries. The proposal also reinforces that participating financial institutions must maintain current ACH operations, fraud/risk, and IAT contact information, update changes within 45 days, and verify that information at least annually.

Comments are due by Friday, June 12, 2026. Financial institutions, Payments Associations, and ACH Operators can review the proposal and submit feedback online.
