Reports to: Executive Vice President of Marketing and Membership

Salary Range: $57,000 - $74,000

Position Overview:

PaymentsFirst seeks a strategic and hands-on Assistant Director of Marketing to lead website optimization, social media growth, event execution, and business development initiatives. This role will enhance membership growth through data-driven marketing, on-site member engagement, and compelling content creation. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with creativity, excels in relationship-building, and thrives in representing the organization at industry events. 


Key Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing & Website Growth:

  • Manage website content updates (event pages, member portals, blogs) to ensure alignment with organizational goals and member needs.
  • Leverage Google Analytics to track website performance, identify trends, and implement SEO/SEM strategies for traffic growth and conversion optimization.
  • Conduct A/B testing for landing pages, email campaigns, and calls-to-action to improve user engagement.
  • Collaborate with EVP and VP of Marketing and Membership to enhance site functionality and user experience.

Social Media & Content Strategy:

  • Develop engaging content (articles, infographics, videos) to grow social media followership and drive website traffic.
  • Assist with writing and editing copies for newsletters, email flyers, blogs, and marketing collateral that aligns with the brand voice.
  • Curate member success stories and industry insights to showcase PaymentsFirst’s value proposition.

 Event Marketing & Exhibits:

  • Represent PaymentsFirst at industry exhibits and conferences, assisting management with booth logistics, lead generation, and sponsor/exhibitor coordination.
  • Promote 10+ annual events via targeted email campaigns, social media, and website updates.
  • Assist with post-event follow-ups, including survey analysis and ROI reporting.

Business Development & Member Outreach:

  • Prospect and onboard new members through targeted outreach, email campaigns, and collaboration with the membership team.
  • Visit key members within the PaymentsFirst footprint to strengthen relationships, gather feedback, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Support sponsorship growth by creating tailored packages and maintaining partnerships with existing exhibitors.

Data-Driven Membership Growth:

  • Analyze membership trends using CRM and Google Analytics to refine retention/recruitment strategies.
  • Prepare monthly reports on website performance, campaign metrics, and membership growth for leadership.

 


 

Qualifications:
Required:

  • 3+ years in marketing roles with expertise in Google Analytics, CRM platforms, and CMS tools (e.g., WordPress).
  • Proven success in website management, copywriting, and event/exhibit participation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel for member visits, conferences, and exhibits.

Preferred:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial services or membership-driven organizations.
  • Google Analytics Certification.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
