Elder financial abuse is a growing concern as fraud tactics and technology continue to evolve. Fraudsters often target older adults through scams, coercion, or even exploitation by someone they trust. Financial institutions are on the front lines of detection and play a critical role in protecting their account holders.

In recognition of Elder Abuse Awareness Month, this session will explore how to recognize the warning signs of elder financial exploitation, identify red flags in account activity, and take action to prevent further harm.

Topics include:

• Behavioral and transaction red flags
• The importance of staff education
• Reporting obligations and available resources
• Best practices for prevention and protection
